Caldega Outstation Ruins - Free Camp

Via Cordillo Downs Historic Woolshed in the middle of nowhere - at its peak 85,000 sheep were shorn. This is a very remote and isolated road with no services that goes through the Sturt Stony Desert which is gibber rock with the odd lonesome sand dune standing in the horizon.

Montecollina Bore Strezlecki Track - Free Camp

The "old" Strezlecki Track branches off the main track and is narrow & unsealed. The main track is about 470kms and is being bitumenised from Innamincka to Lyndhurst (where it joins the Oodnadatta Track).

Coward Springs Oodnadatta Track - Free Camp

The Oodnadatta Track is about 620kms and follows an ancient route used by the indigenous ochre traders for '000s of years. It is barren and remote. We travelled along here in 2024.

Old Andado Station is a remote cattle station that is a time capsule. Leaving here we travel a sandy and circuitous track with no services passing through Finke (famous for the Desert Race) to Chambers Pillar.
